After the first call of the field, announcer Marshall Cassidy didn't mention the the winner, Creme Fraiche, or runner-up, Stephan's Odyssey, until the far turn. For most of the race, Cassidy focused on just the leading 6 horses. And with the camera only on the top 6 leaders, the viewer had no idea what was going on in the back, and couldn't see the beginning of Creme Fraiche and Stephan's Odyssey's late runs.

Because of the medication rule, Spend A Buck could not race, but I think he would have smoked this field.
