Turnbull Stakes G1 4U OPEN ($502,500), 2000m 2:01.84 | |
Race Synopsis: There was a strong early pace in the Turnbull Stakes as
Puissance De Lune, Entirely Platinum, Let’s Make Adeal,
Brambles and Gris Caro battled for the lead. At the 1400m, the
field was well strung out, with the eventual winner, Lucia Valentina,
almost ten lengths off the pace, with Silent Achiever for company.
Many had winning chances at the 200m but it was Lucia Valentina,
who was switched out five off the fence into the slipstream of
Puissance De Lune, who hit the front late on and claim the driven out
OTI Racing-owned pair of Lidari and Brambles, who perhaps cut
each others throats by racing from too far out |
