| Race Synopsis: Lindsay Park-trained filly Catchy remains unbeaten after four starts and put up an excellent performance in taking out this Group One race. She settled back in 12th place from her wide barrier (11) before commencing her bid (wide out) on turning for home. She got to fourth at the 100m and then finished determinedly to score a very good win. Pariah was smartly away from barrier 10 but was caught three wide outside the leaders. He dashed to the front at the 200m, looking the winner only to be caught nearing the post putting up a very good effort after racing deep on the pace in the early stages. Formality was quickly away and raced outside the leader (Wait For No One), challenged at the home turn and then kept fighting on really well for third. Tulip settled in ninth place, between runners, got through at the 300m and kept battling on well for (2.5 lengths) fourth while Property had a great trip in third place on the rails from his good barrier (2), got inside the leader (Wait For Not One) on straightening and briefly went to the front before holding on for (2.9 lengths) fifth. | |
