You must have watched the wrong race.
On the topic of this year's World Cup, it will be tougher for RD then last year, but then again, she's grown and matured, she should be better now, and a new jockey seems helpful too :)
I think Bill Mott's as good as it gets among trainers in the United States. That said, I completely disagree when he says Royal Delta maybe didn't get the best of trips in the 2012 Dubai World Cup. I've watched the replay of that race at least a dozen times focusing solely on Royal Delta's run. She had a clean, trouble free trip about mid-pack and she had plenty of cover. The bottom line is that when it came to the business end of the race and boys came charging Royal Delta was going backward.
