As the winner of three Wellington Cups, an Auckland Cup, a New Zealand Derby and placed in a Melbourne and two Sydney Cups, Castletown is arguably at the top of the tree when listing our greatest stayers of all time.
One of my all-time favourites. Not many horses have done better than this
old fella over two miles. Great memories, that third Wellington Cup still
brings tears to my eyes.
