His parents may have done great, but he doesn't seem to be at home on the track. I think he should be an event horse or a pleasure/hack horse. He has the pedigree but not the talent.

Zenyettas was amazing but they need to get an earlier start!

I think he'd make a better hunter/jumper than a racehorse. His heart isn't in it.

He's a 3/4 to Eblouissante, who turned out to be a disaster and his conformation is somewhat awkward and gangly. It's still early days, but unfortunately I suspect (and have done from the moment I saw him as a yearling) that he's not going to do well, and unlike Eblouissante he can't be turned into a broodmare if that does happen. So what will happen to him, I don't know.

An obvious lesson can be learned from horses like him: people, stop breeding to the extremely overrated Bernardini and start going to sires that are actually worth their money like Tapit. Bernardini produces more junk than quality and charges ridiculous fees to do so. As a racehorse, he was excellent, but as a sire, I'd go to just about anyone else before I went to him.

I think he is a late bloomer. He's tall and way less compact than his little brother, Ziconic, who could start his career earlier than Cozmic One. But I also believe that he's no real champion. He never even makes an effort to run. Not in the beginning, not in the homestretch, never ever.

Back to the drawing board. Love the horse regardless.
