Hey CF, I was reading my new book, Top 100 racehorses fo the 20th century and the article on Dr. Fager had a great paragraph on how he was "jumping in the air' down the backstretch and the jockey had to let him go. It said he took off like a runaway train! Of course I immediately ran to youtube because I knew you would have the race posted and YIPPEE...here it is. Thanks for all your great vids, CF, I enjoy them all and I always learn something about our beloved friends:)

Jazzy! Always great to hear from you! Yes, The Good Doctor was a true powerhouse. I love his verve and tenacity; that "never say die" attitude! A truly incredible horse.

Amazingly, he paid $4.40 to win. What a value for one of the greatest horses ever.
