| Race Synopsis: A well-deserved victory for Eagle Way who fought off his stablemate Helene Charisma to score his first stakes victory in Hong Kong. Eagle Way was away well from the gates and was taken back to settle down in eighth on the fence about ten lengths off a solid early pace. The pace slackened mid-race and Moreria aboard the favourite commenced a three wide move from the 700m. He turned for home five horses off the fence and quickened up well hitting the front at the 250m before being forced to fend off his stablemate in the closing stages, but was eventually able to draw away and score. Helene Charisma ran well in defeat from third last on the fence at the 600m to close strongly for second, a good effort in defeat. | |
