On that course, on that day this was, in my opinion, the best performance from a British trained filly ever. I think it was stunning - she won in a canter. I think she had back problems later on, which meant she didn't like stretching to accelerate - I thought the world of her after this however and will always remember this race and one she won at York in a small field early in her 3yo career. Huge lung capacity and beautiful action at full speed. Cauthen was special too - great judge of pace

one of my favourite fillies from the 80s, on her day she was very high class, needed a little cut to show her best,she ran really well in the breeders cup finishing third.

Indian Skimmer a fantastic filly and an emphatic win - although to be fair to Miesque, she was running at the very limits of her stamina here.
