you could argue culture vulture had the form in the book to win the pouliches, although i didnt back it, it was a massive price if i recall, but that course and distance win over hatoof in the marcel boussac was franked by hatoof winning the guineas although culture vulture was only 5th there.
maybe the trip to america was a step too far as she hadnt been the same since longchamp 91, or she just didnt come in her coat until she got some sunshine
She won the 1991 Prix Marcel Bousac beating no less a filly than Hatoof and then in 1992 she won the French 1000 Guineas before chasing home Marling in the Coronation stakes at Royal Ascot.
