They weren't sure if that's when he got injured or not. While in the stakes barn. 1st and last year of the "stakes barn" guaranteed. Absolute shame to lose the Triple Crown this way. Horse didn't get the chance to prove he's Triple Crown material, or not. He earned the chance...to not get to try is just a shame!
Oh well. May as well take them as they come. If it is made a big deal, the horse will sense it, and get stressed. If it is down played as no big deal, just like a daily occurence, then he will be less likely to become an unhappy horse. This should not have been a problem, but when nothing can be done, may as well make the best of it.
