| Race Synopsis: La Amistad settled down in third last position on the fence a long way from the tearaway leaders Madam Nash and Order Of The Sun. She improved her position along the fence following Destiny’s Kiss into the race from the 700m. She made good ground between horses on turning for home and loomed ominously under a confident James McDonald. She really picked up when taking the lead at the 300m and drew right away to score with plenty in hand. A most promising performance by this well-related mare. Destiny’s Kiss came from seventh on the fence. He improved his position from the 700m before switching out four and five wide approaching the home turn. He came with his run with the winner but he could not match her turn of foot, battling away gamely at one pace to finish a well beaten second. | |
