I recently read on-line that Juddmonte may be eyeing the G1 Arlington Million in America next month with Noble Mission, and I think that's the only reason he turned up in this race in Germany. For several seasons now the G1 Grosser Dallmayr-Preis winner gets an automatic "win and your in" bid into the Million field, and I believe they were looking to secure that slot with Noble Mission. If they weren't eyeing the Arlington Million I don't think we would've even seen Noble Mission in this field, IMO. I think Lady Cecil thought they could slip Noble Mission over to Munich and win this race without a lot of fuss, thus avoiding all the supplemental and entry fees into next month's Arlington Million. Problem is, someone forgot to tell Lucky Lion.
