Smart tactics on the part of Richard Kingscote to track the pace with Brown Panther. The bottom line is that Leading Light, Pale Mimosa, Royal Diamond, Willing Foe, and the rest of the field gave a classy horse far too much rope and it bit them all in the proverbial ass! If you're on board one of the horses coming from well off the pace, how do you give a horse with Brown Panther's class, that's proven time and again that he can carry his speed over this trip, that much real estate without moving to close up on him sooner than any of them did?
