| Race Synopsis: No 3yo had come back to win a Cox Plate after taking it in their classic generation. But this horse was just a star. After his 2009 win and the Emirates second, So You Think had nine months off. But he returned in devastating fashion winning the Memsie, Underwood and Caulfield Stakes. Maybe by the time he got to the Cox Plate, he was in full Melbourne Cup mode. How could you question his trainer. This horse was no ordinary beast. It was hard to believe this was just start number ten. From the start Trusting and Wall Street didn’t begin well and allowed the top mare More Joyous to stroll to the front with Steve Arnold letting him grab her tail. Zipping found their heels as they didn’t go quickly. Even when the challengers came, it was painless as he took over at the 600m, putting the pressure on. The Valley specialists filled the placings with Shoot Out fourth but So You Think didn’t run away like previously. That prep for the two miles was kicking in. | |
