a win is a win.. have you all forgotten Affirmed and Alydar? does the close finish make either of them less great?? does Beholder's win in the Distaff make her less great??

"How many G1s would Songbird have won if she had to face Blind Luck, Azeri, Zenyatta, etc?" Give me a break. It's horse racing. Anything can happen in any race. Maybe she loses all of them, maybe she wins all of them. So tired of people throwing around "what ifs" with this horse. Just appreciate greatness because that's what you're witnessing when Songbird runs. She'll go down as an all time great and she deserves to. Don't get how people can bash a horse for winning.

How many Grade 1 races would Songbird have won if she had to regularly face an opponent like Inside Information or Azeri, or even Havre de Grace or Blind Luck?

I'm a Songbird fan. She won and that's what matters, it wasn't oh my gosh impressive and similar to her 2017 debut. It's hard to know what to make of Songbird this year. But neither effort would beat Stellar Wind, Vale Dori or Tera Promessa. So, hopefully she can improve and build on this.  I think the choice to have her on the East Coast doesn't make sense. Has she lost her edge or just needs more races to get back in top notch form? We'll see. I'm curious about the Beyer number though.
