I'll go as far as to say this is even better than the Peter Carey mark, as a lot of the players can't do what Brendan Hosking did there. Having said that though, I think there should be a rule change so that if a player has a mark or a free kick and kicks or handballs the ball straight at the umpire who marks it, the player gets another kick, and if the play's continuous and the umpire marks it, the ball should be thrown up. That would be better for the game in my view.
