The horse that played Black Beauty and Gulliver in the Horse Whisperer is a descendant of "the Admiral"

My horse is the great-great-great-great grandson of war admiral.... by direst bloodlines too! All horses are special in their own way..... Nice video.

Wonderful horse! The poor thing was soaked in blood, but he ran to finish the race just the same. As Samuel Riddle once said, "Thoroughbreds don't cry." Man O' War will always be the best though.

Wow, such an amazing animal! Not only did he win after damaging his hoof, but he also beat Man o'War's record (and set the new record for a mile and a half)!

What a magnificent animal! From the #1 post, too! Hasn't been done since his marvelous performance.

i don´t think it´s only because he was the rival of seabiscuit, but because all the sons of man o´war (for example war admiral and hard tack) alleged had a "bad" temper. i read that some guys even died when they tried to ride hard tack on a race

poor War Adimaral bein made into a bad tempered horse he is one a my favorite race horses next to Man O' War well since Seabiscuit(War Admiral's nephew) and his sire Man O' War have books written about them i may have been born in 1995 but i'll write a book about War Admial one of the most amazing horses who ever lived

I hate how the Admiral is portrayed as the "bad guy" horse in both the Seabiscuit book and movie. Just because he was Seabiscuit's rival doesn't give them the right to belittle him or his achievements.

yeah, i read about him tearing off a chunk of his hoof
    in a book about Seabiscuit.

The triple crown is not the only criteria for horseracing. The handicap triple crown is probably a better way of judging. The triple crown is just 3yr. olds racing against 3yr.olds.

I never liked the way that war admiral is viewed in that match race vs seabiscuit. ok yes SB did beat him BUT SB is no triple crown winner.

I knew you'd approve, Carly. The Admiral's heart and courage are legendary.
    Take care.
