As well as he ran back in March in the G1 Dubai World Cup, I thought this year might be Mukhadram's year to win the G1 Prince of Wales's Stakes during the royal meeting. That was until I read that Treve was coming. An as good as he's ever looked in his career Cirrus Des Aigles, with a huge advantage in race fitness, could only manage to beat Treve by a short neck, and that was on the kind of ground he relishes coupled with Treve coming into the race from a layoff of just shy of 6 months. I suspect Mukhadram will run well at Ascot and likely get a piece of the Prince of Wales's Stakes again this year, but I think Criquette Head-Maarek will really have Treve wound up tight for Ascot to the point they just won't be able to catch her, IMO.
