| Race Synopsis: Salerno was used up to lead at a good pace. He kicked
strongly in the home straight putting three lengths on his rivals at
the 200m before finding the line strongly scoring with a little in
reserve. A good effort and big improvement on his debut seventh
in the Breeders’ Plate a fortnight ago. Tempt Me Not was good
in defeat. She settled down in fifth position three wide. She was
cluttered up looking for a run on turning for home and had to be
switched out into the clear. She came with a good run to claim a
clear second without ever threatening the winner. A sound effort. | |
