I still wish they ran the race on the round course - it was designed to teach young horses to deal with a bend, and I think it's a better spectacle, albeit the action is on the far rail.
For me this is the best ever running of this race. The winner was top class and won the Benson and Hedges at York during an injury prone three old career and of course we all know what the second horse went on to achieve.
