All winter long, the jockey Chris McCarron figured Cobra King was his ticket to the Kentucky Derby. But when that colt ran poorly in last month's Florida Derby, then was found earlier this week to have an injury that will keep him out of the Kentucky Derby, McCarron lost his best chance.
