I agree, in the June 24, 2012 NTRA poll Ron was voted top thoroughbred for the second week in a row; Ron the Greek is now the best handicap horse in the country. Unfortunately that doesn't impress the racing fandom as much as it once did, but Bill Mott seems to appreciate what it means. I'm glad to see the owners being rewarded for being patient and keeping the horse in training, letting it mature. Racing in the US would be better if more owners acted like that.
