| Race Synopsis: Black Heart Bart staged another game performance in winning his fifth Group One race. He settled back in fifth place, one off the rails. He moved up (deep) rounding the home turn but then took a while to wind up before coming with a strong late finish to grab victory on the post. Former Japanese-trained Tosen Stardom raced in fourth place, got along the rails at the home turn, hit the front at the 100m only to fail by the barest of margins for a very good first up second. Ecuador began brilliantly and went to the front. He took a break on straightening and held on very well for a close up third after running a bold race. Three-year-old colt Attention was quickly away and then raced outside the leader before fighting on really well for (0.9 lengths) fourth in an impressive effort while Turn Me Loose disappointed. He was ridden off the pace, after being third early on, then settled in fourth place, one off the rails before tiring in the straight to finish (3 lengths) eighth. | |
