The Cygnet River Racecourse came alive for the 2018 SeaLink Kangaroo Island Racing Carnival on Thursday 15th and Saturday 17th February. Special guest, Tony Modra, enjoyed mingling in the Long Lunch Marquee, where guests enjoyed a 4 course meal filled with local Kangaroo Island produce and Dudley Wines - Kangaroo Island wines and beers. The feature race was won by Red Manace, ridden by Jemma Drew for Dennis O’Leary. The annual Cup is a highlight on the local events calendar where the community comes together to celebrate all there is to love about horse racing and Kangaroo Island. The Fashion At The Races winner, Brooke, took home $1,000 cash, a weekend away at Southern Ocean Lodge, Kangaroo Island and a $200 The Daily Edited voucher and will get to take part in the state final later this year.
