It's time to stop trashing these horses. They are both unbeatable. The speed of the other horses in BC's Oz races is not to be scoffed at, and was certainly not less than the speed of the horses in the Jubilee. The only difference was BC. It's such a leap to say that the opposition must be better in Europe, like many British are currently saying, rather than noticing that she didn't respond to the whip. Did you notice any of her customary acceleration? Even without it, she won.

Who would want to take chances with a horse like this though :P?

Susceptible to muscle tears? I'll say. What a champion.

But I agree with you - she won't be taking on Frankel any time soon. Not until they are perfectly sure she's up to the challenge.

I'm a 'Pom' as they call us also, and a huge fan of both horses. I will admit I thought the jokcey's over-confidence ruined her chances, though I did find out today that mid-race she had somehow torn two muscles and bruised her hind quarters. Kudos to her for being able to stay on with that kind of injury. I believe she may have won by at least 2 lengths if the jock hadn't stop riding and if she hadn't have hurt herself.

Slow track, poor riding, and she still won. Given a decent track she would have blitzed them.

so it's nothing special that she's the first mare in 27 years to win the Queen's race??

Fabulous - thanks for sharing - she is an athlete and it's wonderful that they made this suit to help with the swelling on her long journey to England -she is gorgeous

How's this for a mouth-watering prospect: Aiden O'Brien is seriously considering dropping So You Think down to a mile to take on Frankel at his last race start before retiring to stud. It is also a well known fact that Peter Moody believes Black Caviar could be a world class miler... she is also close to retirement, as I think is Frankel. You don't need much imagination to understand what I'm getting at. It will bring closure on one of the most facinating eras of the sport of kings.

With the 2 best available UK sprinters avoiding her she only has 7 furlong specialist Moonlight Cloud from France to beat. The rest are no better than average. As a racing fan I feel chuffed she's coming over because apart from possibly meeting the Queen she has absolutely nothing to gain by coming all the way round the world to beat what will turnout at Ascot.
