He made enough contact to knock him off balance

If you make contact yes. AFL 101.

So you agree there was contact? The umpire was in perfect position and I trust the umpires 100% they rarely make mistakes. If you take your eyes off the ball and make front on contact of any kind then it's a free kick. It was on the DVD.

As a Collingwood fan who was at the game I think that this was a very soft free kick. There was contact though so technically it was there. The thing is Milne was looking at the player instead of the ball. The umpires are always going to punish players who do that. We were very lucky to escape with a win tonight.

Is that a joke? 25 frees to 14

It was a free kick either way you look at it, no eyes on the ball and made contact, or a chop, either way pies win get over it, if you actually watched the game you wouldn't say it favored the pies

there was clear contact to the arms. it was soft, but it was there. Milne didn't need to do it as harry wasn't going to mark it. the replay shows this at 20 seconds. also wasn't a guaranteed goal. armitage thumbled the handball receive and thomas would have been right on him. may or may not have ended up with a goal but we'll never know. lets not forget st.kilda had their fair share of dubious decisions go there way.

I was always under the impression that you had to physically touch a player to give away a free kick. Guess I missed this latest memo...

Disgraceful stuff from Milne, Harry is lucky to still have 2 arms. 6 weeks.

    So you're saying Milne didn't touch O'Brien..?

terrible umpiring. not even close to chopping the arms. this umpire shouldn't officiate an AFL game again.
