Jockey Denny Velazquez rides an ostrich named "Bird is the Word" in the Don't Lay an Egg Dash at Canterbury Park on July 21st, 2012. After the two leaders in the race were dropped from their mounts,Denny guided Bird is the Word to a 2nd place finish.
