@stevetriplecrown I can tell you what she did, Steve - she beat Pebbles at Royal Ascot!!!
It wasn't quite the shock as that might seem now: Pebbles' Guineas win was a little unexpected so it wasn't clear if she was really all that good, and she proved to be better over further than a mile. Ironically, Philip Robinson rode both of them in their victories, and chose Pebbles at Ascot.
She did do well up there all the way but I always felt confident Desirable would run her down lol well until 1 and a half ferlongs out. Even though Desirable cost me dear that season I more than made up for it when her daughter Shadayid came along. Katies like a lot of top fillies produced very little at stud but her rand daughter My Katies is the dam of Japans good horse Admire Moon winner of the Dubai Duty Free.
Thanks for posting eddie, such a huge field for a classic, katies did well to win having been handy all the way, great filly, dont remember what happened to her after this race ?
