I was initially pessimistic about Joseph O'Brien getting the top jockey slot at Ballydoyle this season. I didn't feel he had the savvy or experience. But I'll readily admit that was an error in judgement on my part, because this young man is savvy beyond his years. Already, at just 19, he's won the Irish 2000 Guineas(twice), English 2000 Guineas, BC Turf, Coronation Cup, and Epsom Derby. A lot of jockey's hope to win even one of those races just once before they become middle age and retire.
