IMO, Fantastic Light was also lucky that Aidan O'Brien decided to run Galileo in the 2001 Breeders Cup Classic on the dirt at Belmont Park instead of running him in the Breeders Cup Turf. Not sure that Fantastic Light would've won that BC Turf in 2001 if Galileo had been in the field? Fantastic Light might have been able to run well against Galileo in 10f races, but at 12f, Galileo was the much more dominant horse of the 2.
