Well technically everyone in the 8 is a premiership contender haha. As an Essendon supporter I can admit we got flogged fair and square, outplayed! But on the bright side for us, we'd rather Saints make the 8 and finals than the Blues! Good stuff

Essendon's better? Essendon hasn't won a finals game since 2004. St Kilda has qualified for every finals series since 2008.
Besides, had they been facing different teams in 2010 or 2009, St Kilda could have won the premiership.
