Ride On Curlin, second in the Preakness, breezed seven furlongs in 1:28 on the Belmont Park main track June 1.
Ride On Curlin breaking his maiden impressively second time out at Ellis Park. He'd go on to finish second in the 2014 Preakness Stakes and be a leading contender in the Belmont Stakes.
Preakness runner-up Ride On Curlin turned in a strong gallop on May 27 over the Belmont Park main track.
All week, trainer Todd Pletcher hinted that Any Given Saturday could be sitting on a big race. In the $1-million Haskell Invitational (gr. I)at Monmouth Park Aug. 5, the dark bay 3-year-old colt showed that Pletcher was not bluffing.
