Mondialiste (IRE) bursts through late to win the Ricoh Woodbine Mile at Woodbine on September 13, 2015. His victory comes with guaranteed entry into the Breeders' Cup Mile at Keeneland.
IMO Fergal Lynch didn't get enough credit for Mondialistes victory. He's very little experience at this level but rode a very patient, accomplished race. Well done!
Geoff & Sandra Turnbull bought Mondialiste from Wertheimer & Frere back in February and he's turned out to be a terrific purchase for them. Since coming to Great Britain from France to race for the Turnbull's, Mondialiste in seven starts has only finished out of the $$$ once in the Royal Hunt Cup back in June when he got a horrid trip as part of a 30-horse field that day at Royal-Ascot. Since coming to Geoff & Sandra Turnbull he's now won the G1 Woodbine Mile, G3 Strensall Stakes, & listed Pomfret Stakes. He's finished 2nd in the Betway Lincoln(formerly the William Hill Lincoln), and 3rd in the G3 Earl of Sefton Stakes & listed Paradise Stakes, but the big thing about him is he's continued to get more progressive with every start.
