Great race,Able Friend is gonna make an incredible miler,he only lasted this distance on class alone,Designs on Rome outstayed him here.

Definitely the two best 4yo racing in Hong Kong right now. You sort of knew as long as Designs On Rome & Able Friend didn't run into any traffic problems during the race that they would likely hook up in the stretch and go at each other again hammer and tong like they did a month ago in the Hong Kong Classic Cup. The disappointment of the race for me has to be Tableaux. He was drawn perfectly, broke well, box seated basically from the very beginning of the race and had every chance going into the last turn, but just wasn't good enough. Really liked Tableaux last season when he was still racing in France for Coolmore and trainer Andre Fabre. He had those back to back G2 wins at Longchamp in the Prix Noailles in April and Prix Hocquart in May, and at that time looked like he had the world by the short and curlies. But he was sold shortly after the Prix Hocquart win by Coolmore and things just haven't ever seemed to come together for Tableaux yet in Hong Kong the way appeared to be coming together for him France before he was sold.
