Ballydoyle and Coolmore went one better in the 2013 Ladbrokes St Leger Stakes when Leading Light ran out a ready winner. He comfortably held the late charge of the filly Talent with Galileo Rock in third.
It's great seeing a 3yo stayer this talented. I really like the way Leading Light finds more off the bridal when challenged. He's won at Ascot & Doncaster by digging and finding more when strongly challenged. I really hope Aidan O'Brien sends Leading Light to Ascot in October for the BC Long Distance Cup. The prospect of Leading Light & Estimate knocking heads in that race is very appealing. If he stays healthy I'd say he'll be Coolmore's next Ascot Gold Cup horse in 2014, IMO.
