A treble for Godolphin as Brave Zolo is the convincing winner in the Zabeel Feedmill 1600m turf race, ridden by William Buick, trained by Charlie Appleby.
Bravo Zolo was a really good purchase for Godolphin. Perfect type of horse for the Dubai Carnival. He must continue to keep getting treated really well in handicap company though, because he runs like a stakes horse that previous owner, Marc Keller, has campaigned as a handicapper, as has Godolphin to date. He's only had 2 career starts to date in stakes company and ran well both times, finishing 4th in the listed King Charles II Stakes at Newmarket back in 2015 and winning the listed Prix du Ranelagh at Chantilly in 2016. I wouldn't have minded seeing him have gotten a crack at something like the G2 Al Fahidi Fort or G2 Zabeel Mile while he was in Dubai myself.
