| Race Synopsis: Red Tracer began well from her outside barrier (16) and settled about fifth but three wide with no cover. She travelled strongly and moved up at the home turn. She made a quick dash to take the lead at the 200m and then drew away to score comfortably by just over two lengths. It was a very good performance. Streama began well from her inside barrier (1) but she was shuffled back on the rails and settled about eighth on the rails. She got an inside run at the 200m and was urged to improve, getting through to fourth at the 100m then finished fairly well to just grab second on the line. Floria raced midfield but trapped wide. She moved up wide out at the 700m, commenced a run from the 300m and
improved to fourth at the 100m then battled on for a good third. Skyerush had a good trip fourth one out and one back. She put in a run on straightening to challenge at the 200m then kept battling on for a sound fourth after appearing to have every chance. She’s clean raced just past midfield most of the way to the 600m. She switched out at the 300m and kept making ground in the centre to finish fifth, beaten three lengths. The three-year-old filly Peron was stepping up in class but was well supported firming to $6. She was eased from her wide barrier (13) and raced about tenth, three wide. She was asked to improve from the 600m and kept making ground, without threatening, to finish tenth (beaten just under five lengths). | |
