Glad to see her make her season debut. It was a solid race off the long layoff or freshening. She did get hot in the post parade. But I need something clarified. One horse racing commentator months ago mentioned her kicking a wall in a stall and a possible injury. Then the blonde woman on nbc commentating the day of the Ogden race said Songbird was coming off injury. Yet all this time the connections never said anything about an injury let alone what is was. What was the deal on that and was there ever an injury? But I think the race looked more competitive than it really was. It was her first off the long layoff and  she is getting used to her bigger new body. Hall of Famer "Money" Mike Smith didn't use the whip, if he had, Songbird would have won by 3-4 lengths. Unlike Jerry Bailey, who still angers me about an ethnic diss he made about the Texas Chrome jockey earlier this season, said he didn't believe she had more in the tank this last race. So what, she won and I expect her to ease back into her best groove/form. Can't wait to see her Stellar Wind, Vale Dori and Terra Promessa hook up.

Go back and watch how chilly Mike sits on Songbird compared to the other Jockeys movements. Your right he is amazing on a racehorse. He is motionless above leg movement.

People actually were hoping this horse ran in the kentucky derby??..Songbird might have finished DEAD LAST if she did..This horse is a good filly..but if she tries to take on the boys in a "real" field she will get completely CRUSHED!..13 races and not 1 of them did she show a very fast final time..Stick with the girls

This horse has ran 13 times...average at best final times..Always runs against average at best horses..Let me know when this horse actually runs against someone..Songbird got beat by Beholder as Beholder was WAY past her prime and retiring..Her comeback was a win but it wasnt special..Songbird has a LOT to prove to me
